Sometimes changes are harmless — but not always
Food-related changes usually disappear within hours or days and are considered harmless. When a color or odor change clearly follows a specific meal, the explanation is often straightforward.
However, not every unusual change should automatically be blamed on diet.
Persistent dark urine, visible blood, severe odor changes, pain, fever, burning during urination, or unexplained discoloration can sometimes indicate infections, kidney stones, liver problems, dehydration, or metabolic conditions.
